How are The Printorium prints created?
All our prints are created using long lasting, archival pigment inks, made with the most technologically advanced digital printers, on 100% cotton rag paper.
Prints in the Premium Collection have been enhanced by the application of a hand-applied process, most typically the addition of gold or silver foil to imitate the original graphic prop from the films.
How often is new art released?
Our archive will be released over time, starting with just four images from a much larger collection. We cannot commit to particular dates, but Newsletter subscribers will be the first to be notified each time new art is introduced.
Are The Printorium artworks signed by the artists?
Prints from the Harry Potter Original Collection are ‘signature-stamped’ (ie a unique stamp designed and applied by the artists). For those wishing to acquire hand-signed prints, these are found in the Harry Potter Premium Collection, and are sold in are much smaller edition. All prints in bothe collections come with a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity.
What's an edition?
An edition is a limited run of a particular artwork and consists of a set number of prints in a set number of sizes. The Printorium will never issue more prints than have been stated on the product page so once artwork is sold out, it will not be released again in that size.
What is a Certificate of Authenticity?
A Printorium Certificate of Authenticity accompanies every print. It is an archival card that is signed by the artists and includes the artwork title, size and edition number. It ensures both the integrity of the edition and the artists’ participation in its creation. As our prints are sold unframed, be sure to keep your Certificate in a safe place, until such a time as you frame it.
Why are some prints available in just one size, and other in various sizes?
Where possible, we have tried to reproduce the artworks at the same size in which they appeared in the movies. Occasionally this means we can offer two or three sizes of the same print, for example a packaging or poster design which was originally created in different sizes.
Why do some prices differ for the same sized prints?
Some artworks from our archive are much more ‘iconic’ as they were heavily featured props in the films (film prop stars!). We have tried to reflect this value in the pricing scale; the images are not valued per square inch but per square icon!
Does The Printorium art look exactly like the images we see online?
We work to ensure fidelity between the images you see online and our final artwork. While our screens are calibrated, meaning that they are regulated for color consistency and accuracy, most screens are not. Because of this, colors and tones can vary greatly between computers, so the art you receive may look slightly different than it did on your computer.
Does the size of the paper equal the size of the actual image?
No. We use standard paper sizes and do not alter the image to fit the paper, which means that all prints will have a white border. You can find the dimensions of the actual image size in the product info dropdown on each product page.
Who owns copyright or Creative Commons licenses on The Printorium art?
The artist/licensor of The Printorium images controls all rights. Copyright law states that copyright is not transferred to the buyers The Printorium prints.

How do I care for my art?
If you are not immediately going to frame your art, we recommend storing it flat in between the sheets of acid free tissue it was sent in. As your art was shipped in a tube and will be quite curled when unwrapped, set books or a flat weight on top of it to flatten. Away from direct sun, heat and humidity. Your Certificate of Authenticity may be stored with your art or filed separately, but be sure to keep it in a safe place.
